GeneBee (“we”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use the GeneBee app.
Your raw genetic data and parsed results stay on your device. We do not upload, store, or transmit your genetic information to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud features. Parsing and analysis happen locally on your iPhone.
GeneBee does not store your genetic data on its servers. All raw DNA files (23andMe, AncestryDNA) and generated reports are stored locally on your device. We retain this data only as long as the app is installed on your device or until you manually delete it. We do not maintain any off-device backups of your sensitive genetic information.
You have full control over your data. You can delete your processed genetic information and generated reports at any time by: Using the 'Delete Data' button within the App Settings. Uninstalling the app, which will automatically remove all locally stored data. Deleting the exported PDF report from your device's file system. Because we do not store your data on our servers, once you delete it from your device, it is permanently erased and cannot be recovered by GeneBee
We may collect anonymized usage data (e.g., app analytics) to improve the product. We use Firebase for authentication (anonymous sign-in) and do not collect personally identifiable information unless you provide it.
Purchases are processed by Apple. We do not store your payment information. Apple’s privacy policy applies to transactions.
We use Firebase (Google) for authentication. Their privacy policy applies to data processed by their services.
We use industry-standard practices to protect any data we handle. Your genetic data remains on your device under your control.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
